I lost my journal entries

Your journal lives entirely on your device — we don't store any copy on our servers. That means we can't recover entries lost to an uninstall, factory reset, or deleted by accident. Backing up your phone regularly is the best protection.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. To change plans or cancel:
  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Christian Journey.
  • Android:Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

I was charged but don't see subscription features

This usually resolves once the receipt syncs. Try opening the app while connected to the internet, or use Restore Purchasesin the app's Settings. If it doesn't work after a few minutes, email us with the date of purchase and we'll help.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for in-app purchases are issued by Apple or Google, not Christian Journey. Apple users can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; Android users via the Google Play refund flow.

A verse or affirmation feels off to me

We work hard to stay scripture-rooted while welcoming believers from many traditions. If something feels off, please tell us — we read every note and update content when feedback warrants it.

Prayer Lock isn't blocking other apps

Prayer Lock works with your phone's built-in focus controls, so it needs the right permissions to work:
  • iOS: Settings → Focus → confirm Christian Journey is allowed to enable a Focus during your prayer windows.
  • Android:Settings → Digital Wellbeing & parental controls → confirm Christian Journey has permission to enable Focus mode at your scheduled times.
You'll also need notifications enabled so the prayer reminder itself comes through. If permissions look correct and Prayer Lock still isn't working, email us with your device model and OS version.

What's outside our reach

Christian Journey works entirely on your device — there's no server we can log into to “see your account.” That gives you full control of your data, but it also means anything lost from your phone can't be restored from our side.

Payment issues, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google, since they process every transaction. We don't see your billing details and can't adjust charges directly.
